We are an education guardianship company mainly for Chinese students (from Hong Kong, Macau and China) to study in UK boarding schools. It was setup in 2012 and accredited by the Boarding Schools Association and Association of the Education and Guardianship of International students (AEGIS). We are a small company, offering guardianship services, including hosting, holiday camps, travel organisation, tuition organisation and a school referral service. We have both a UK team and Hong Kong team serving our clients internationally.

Job Purpose:

We are looking for an experienced travel co-ordinator to manage the travel requests by schools and parents. The individual will need to be organised and flexible, with an understanding for the student’s journey. The individual is also in charge of updating the data and filing system used by the company

The role will involve some occasional travelling to and from school. The role will represent the company and be required to communicate with the school, students, their parents and internally within the company.

The individual will need to deal with emergency situations that could arise in term time and be able to work when required at different locations around the UK. This will be balanced with home working opportunities.

Experience/Skills required:

  • Experience in travel co-ordination in either the independent school sector or travel industry
  • Good IT skills, such as google drive, sheets, docs, Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Good SNS skills, use of whatsapp, wechat from computer and phone
  • Attention to detail, specifically paying attention to dates, times and being ccurate on bookings
  • Use and updating the database and enter data accurately
  • Must be motivated and able to help when required to fulfil duties, which may involve working outside working hours, being on-call and working at weekends or early mornings
  • Excellent people skills including clear communication and able to build relationships
  • Mandarin/Cantonese skills (Preferred)
  • Experience in independent school sector or travel sector (either as a travel representative, student/support staff/teacher)
  • Able to deal with emergency situations such as sudden change of plan and able to make decisions without management input
  • Undergraduate or above qualification (preferred)
